Hi oldschool: The fish's colour is quite pale and special... are you sure it's a wild fish? Anyhow, it's a nice yellow ram. ^_^

They are indeed Blue. A fantastic fish in my opinion wild rams are one of my favorite Dwarf Cichlids. There is also a red version of a wild ram with more of a redish hue overall. Enjoy the picture.

Im agree with blueblue.

I dont think that coloration comes from a really colombian wild fish, they usually have much more marked iridicenses.

From wich location is your fish?

There are several color variations in wild rams this is old news. I suggest you may perhaps ask some of the experts on taxonomy and nomenclature to elaborate for you guys. May I also suggest you search the archives of the APisto mailing list on www.thekrib.com In the meantime here is a link to get you started.

ok, im conviced...

however, can you tell the location (river, basin, etc..) where to find this wild type?

Im interested in colombian varieties of darwf cichlids, so that information can be useful.

Thanks for the replies
