Underwater Camera Advice

My g/f and I are headed to Grand Cayman next month for a week long vacation I won from work. As part of our trip we will be taking two snorkeling adventures and I wanted to capture this on film. I'm not sure that I want to spend the $ on an underwater case for her digital camera, and I've read that most disposable underwater cameras are crap. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience or advice they might be willing to share.

There are several point and shoot digital cameras that are water safe. I have a very small one made by Fugi that does a good job, and will even shoot video. The only downside is that it has a short battery life.

Ted is right. There are several makers of produce waterproof to about 10m/30' point and shoot cameras that would be ideal for snorkeling. Check the Canon, Fuji, Nikon, and Pentax sites; they all make waterproof cameras.
