After several months of trying my Dehane finally came through for me. This morning I spotted a small group of wrigglers next to a flower pot in which the female has been hiding for the past few days. I didn't see many wrigglers (6-7), but it's a start. I keep the wild-caught pair in distilled water with a little bit of plant fertilizer and water conditioner (not sure I need the latter, given that I don't use any tap water). Water parameters as follows:

GH 0
KH 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate <20 mg/L (probably due to the fertilizer)
TDS 145 uS/cm (probably due to the fertilizer)
Temperature 23.8 degrees Celsius

These guys have been quite a challenge, and I hope they manage to bring up some fry.

I struggled with this morph for years, but th etwo pair I broght back from Cameroon have been excellent. Small broods though... 15 - 20 at the most.

Ted: Yesterday, the entire brood left the flower pot for the first time. There are more wrigglers than I originally assumed: about 15-20, just like in your case. I'd be more than happy if the parents brought up a handful. Generally, I find spawning Dehane much more satisfying than "easy" morphs such as Moliwe.

I finally managed to get a decent shot of one of the fry. They are a little easier to count, now that they are free swimming. I have close to 30 fry. The picture below was taken about 2 weeks after the wrigglers left the cave for the first time. The fry start straying away from male now. I had to move the female to another tank about a week ago, because the male started beating up on her.
