Chromidotilapia guntheri loennbergii spawned

This my lucky day today. My male loennbergii just released some fry after holding for about 10 days. I'd say there is at least 30 babies, probably more. I got the parents from Ariel Bornstein about 2-3 months ago. (Thanks, A.!)

A few days later and the fry still seems to be doing well. Ted, if you are serious about the loennbergii, I'd be happy to send you some a couple of months down the road. I have no intentions making any $$ off this, but think this species is well worth being kept by some dedicated hobbyists in the U.S. They are gorgeous! Perhaps you'd like to trade me some of your Blue Fin? I saw on your website that things seem to be going great!

Ted, I'll take you up on this offer for a trade in the mid-term future. By-the-way: my first estimate of the number of fry was too low. Turned out to be at least 50, but over the past few days the number steadily decreased to 30-40. I think the half-grown Tilapia joka in the same tank every now and then manage to pick up some of the loennbergii fry. Overall, though, the loennbergii turned out to be very good parents.
