Would a pair be ok in a 12g cube? If so, what bottom dwellers would be safe?

Thanks

They should be ok in that size tank. Cories are good tank mates if you are looking for bottom dwellers.

Do you think any kind of loach would be okay?

most loaches can be territorial and aggresive when need be , it could cause some disputes

cory's are more peaceful and likely to just recieve any aggresion rather than dish it out, generally they are more comfortable at slightly cooler than apsito water temp's too

kuli loaches maybe ok though i think you would see little of them

why do you want more bottom action? it will bring the other fish into direct competion for space with the apisto's

Im looking for fish I can put in there that wont be harmed by the apsitos' aggression and I like loaches. But if loaches may be problematic, then I will go with cories. I havent stocked the tank yet.
