When is it too much?

Hi

I have a pair of cacatuides apistos in a 10G tank.

The male chases the female, not violentaly but constantly.

I believe it is part of their mating behaviour, but since I lost one female, I wonder when does this behaviour become distressing to the female?
How can I tell if it is not too much?

The female actually ended up killing the male. Sad but true.

The female hides all the time...
I took out the male and put him in a net breeder (breeding / hatchery unit) like this:

Is it OK? How long can he stay there? (I plan no more than 3-4 days until a bigger tank will be available).
