What species is this ?

What species is this fish; a seller has them for sale but hasn't identify it. He found a fish available for import from asia that looks similar but it is deep blue - these are all grey - not sure if they will colour up.

Also what care does it require - pure blackwater - clearwater - and are they aggressive polygamous or more gentle when not breeding mood. Considering this for a 29 that is heavily planted and has some stray pangio of various species and 2 red fin otto - so pretty much dedicated aquarium. I can soften the water as needed.

Caudal spot, and the white space that precedes it suggests somewhere in the regani lineage. Probably need to wait for Frank or Mike to get more specific

Attatched are 2 pictures of a male of the fish I received last week as well as a picture from Asia of the fish I think they are. I just found out about an hour ago that they were collected from the Itaya River in Peru. The Asian picture is labeled Apistogramma cf. eunotus "Schwanzstreifen”...

Yes he told me he posted it on facebook somewhere but he sent me an email directly; but he isn't sure the wc fish he has is the same as the asian fish he found on a website. oh i see i told him i was going to post it here but i guess he went ahead and made his own post But note my post was first !!!
