is it possible for panduro and njesseni to cross breed.I was going to keep a male panduro and a female njesseni together until i can get some partners for them in a couple of weeks and i dont want to risk the chance of cross breeding

I think that it is possible. They are very similar species.

Yes, it is possible. Römer has photos of such a cross in one of his scientific species description; I forget which. It is the ugliest looking, misshapen fish; worse than blood parrot cichlids! If your fish get along and eventually breed, just destroy any offspring.

That is a pretty strong statement. It takes a real freak to be worse than a blood parrot.

I didn´t think that a crossbreed between those very similar fishes gives such an ugly animal.
