Happy New Year to you all.

I just thought I would do a quick survey to see if there are any other members who are Canadians here, and what it is you keep.

I've been breeding mostly cichlids for 20 years now, though most of it has been Rift's, though there has been the oddball from time to time.

A couple of years ago I picked up some Pelvicachromis taeniolatus lobe, and suffice to say, I was bitten by the bug. Unfortunately, they ate the fry everytime they spawned, and the female was treated rather poorly by the male. We are moving into a new house in late May, and I'd wanted to see who was within reasonable distance of me who kept Pelvicachromis.

I'll definately be looking for some late summer.

HI There,

From Brampton Ontario, There is a store here in Brampton who has 3 different localities of them, lobe is not one of them.
I am currently only dealing with Apistos and Laetacara's, but I have seen some nice Pelvicachromis lately at this store that have triggered some interest, however the price tag of $40/per pair, has made me a bit hesitant, need to get some of my Apistos bred so that I can trade a few.

I have no idea where you are located but odd dwarf cichlids do appear quite regularly in the Toronto & Buffalo area. Also you can mail order them in the summer.

Oliver Lucanus from Montreal www.belowwater.com gets many rare dwarfs in.

Thanks

John
