Hi guys,
I need your opinion about my tank (100lt 80x35x45cm)

can I keep a trio or is better only a pair?

These are the A. Bitaeniata that I got

I ordered 1 male and 2 females but they made a mistake and now I've 2 males and 1 female as you can seen in this photo of 2 males

so now I can decide to give back the small male or change it with another female
What do you think about it?
Thank you
Ciao
Attilio

I like the tank. Seems to me when I have something separating the tank into two even halves, I have a little better success with a pair or trio; one half for one female, the other half for the other. Example, maybe rearrange where that driftwood to the left, still going diagonally will help.

Probably better to trade in the extra male (looks that way, hard to tell in the photo), maybe get a few dwarf pencilfish or a half dozen neon tetras to act as dithers.

Best of luck. They look great.

Thanks slimbolen99
in the tank there are 6 nannostomus trifasciatus and 5 otocinclus.
This night the female is hidden in the coconut and the male is standing out because the opening is too narrow for him....

PS I saw now your A. Bitaeniata. They are fantastic (in Italy I'm looking for something like this for months but did not find anything.
However I understand that also Mike always keeps A. bitaeniata of a trio)

Do you know which kind of A. bitaeniata are mine?

Thanks
Attilio

Thank you Ted

I ordered them in an aquarium store in Rome that provides with a farm of the czech republic.
I think they are not the best quality but is the only way to find A. bitaeniata in Italy (sorry for my english ;-) )

Please help me
Is this a male or a female?
