I'd like to know if Thysochromis ansorgii and Anomalochromis thomassii is the same fish.

I have a pisture of a supposed Thysochromis ansorgii and all the pistures that I've found on the Net don't have any red on the fins. So I was wandering if it was not Anomalochromis thomassi or hybrids of the 2.

They are 3 cm (1"¼)

Heres a picture of mines:

It doesn't look like A. thomasi to me. See here. The last 3 fish are thomasi. Not the best pics, but thomasi not the less. The fish you've shown seems more elongated. Has the spots on the side too far down the side of the fish.... However, your fish does not seem to be Thysochromis ansorgii to me either. But that's a fish I only know from pictures.

They all look like Ansorgii to me. They have the 5 to 6 spots on there sides like Ansogii get and the red trim on the fins is there like on my adult pair. The color is much brighter than on my pair or any of their 1" plus juvies.

T. ansorgii... nice fish. The size of the black bands is confusing on your fish, but as the fish ages the bands will get smaller and lok like the classic T. ansorgii spots.

Thank you everybody. I come back with new pics as soon as I can. I'm not sure if it's a T.ansordi. Something new today: looking like a orange spot that's coming right above the anal fin!!!!!
