Hi All . Man I just got these guys 3 weeks ago. they must be happy with my set up. i was told that they are a littel persnikity about their tank and mates. Well mine pared up and started the danceing last week. The female couldn't decide which pot to do the deed in she would have gravel piled out side the door on both and be inside both. Well last nite sh decided and i discovered the door to her pot compleatly blocked . I unfortunatly due to money problems have to use only my tap water which is out of a municipality well system. Ph 8.4 GH 25 ppm KH 400-800ppm which translates into soft very alkaline water. Which all my soft water species love by the way but the eggs are not to fond of. So I artifically hatch my dwarf cichlid eggs using DI with a pinch of acid buffer to bring it down to low 6s ph wise in a qt jar with an airstone and 3% hydrogen peroxcide for antifungal. Any way My Pertensis spawned heres pics.
