I had an interesting discovery with my P.rolofi. They are very shy and rarely stay out of shelter and never come out and swim around when I'm in the room. The tank is small and has little cover so it's not of any great surprise about their habits.
What was a surprise was their choice of spawning site. It couldn't have been any more out in the open and closer to the surface and lid.
A shot of the tank, can yousee the spawn site?
A close up of the female and eggs.
Are rolofi normaly open spawners or do they usually lay in caves?
