My ram has a gash he might die.... remedies?

help my ram is bloated and has a pea sized hole in his side. It isn't deep and I need to know rremedies to heel him. He has been acting normal until 24 hours after his spawn. The eggs are safe with the female but He isn't helping. Could the spawn taken a lot out of him. Help me help him please
