Hi All I have this singel apisto and am wondering if it is a mcmasteri or viejita and whether it is male or female. My guess is male mcmasteri.

I believe it is neither - and both. My guess is that it is a domestic form usually sold as A. viejita Color Form II. It actually is an old aquarium strain that probably is a mix of A. macmasteri and A. sp. Rotflecken/Red-flecked and maybe A. viejita. It definitely looks like a male.
