How large do fry need to be before they can cope/survive in a small community tank? I have two that are about 1/2 inch and I don't want to loose them! I'm looking at putting them in a moderately to lightly planted 20 gallon. The tank has a few hiding spots, but it not "lush". Tankmates would be Harliquin Rasporas, but these could easily be replaced if something else would be more suitable.
Thanks!

rsa1,

WELCOME TO THE FORUM

Half-inch fry are fairly large, as fry go, and resourceful. They should be fine in the tank with rasboras. Rasboras are fast, but usually not too interested in apisto fry of that size. Just keep an eye on the for awhile and see how they interact, especially at feeding time. The problem might be that the apisto won't be able to compete for the food.
