Dithers with Fry

I have a tank set up with Apistogramma Panduro and hopeful for breeding to occur. I would like to add some top-half fish as dithers to increase activity. I do not much care for pencilfish or hatchetfish, so I would like some advice on fry-safe dithers that might be more interesting.

I have considered smaller rasboras, like chili or dwarf emerald, but I am open to ideas! Thanks!

Pencils have proven best choice over and over again. The rasboras you name are sold at a size they will end up as fish food. Some will even as adults be the right size to fit the mouth of a A. panduro.
