Covering Costs

Yes... Apistogramma.com is going to have to go a bit commercial. I need to try to cover some of the costs. There are several ways to do this, and we are going to try a few of them.

The first, and continuing, method is through the generous contributions from our fish retailers whose banners rotate at the upper right. That is their spot, and they each have a forum to communicate directly with you. Those businesses will be changing a bit, however, as hard economic times have made it difficult for some of them to continue their support. Sales have not been great (and yet we get a lot of posts asking where to get good fish...). Trust me... I know all our livestock sellers personally, and none of them would be on here if I did not know that they are good at what they do. Please support them.

Second... the affiliate advertising links that now appear in the left column. Ever buy from online retailers? If you do, please consider linking to their catalog sites through Apistogramma.com. If you link from here and buy something the forum will get a percentage of the sale. No extra cost to you, but a commission comes back to us. Over the next week or so there will be some more well known aquarium supply retailers joining the list.
