Blue Ram Ready To Spawn?

I Have A Blue Ram Which Has Normally Been A Active Fish. But In The Last Day Or So It Has Become Somewhat Sluggish And Will Sit In One Spot On The Bottom Of The Tank For Extended Periods Of Time. I Have Noticed That Is Belly Has Become Noticeably Pink. It Will Really Only Move When One Of The Other Rams Come Near. It Does No React To Any Others. Is It Possible It Is Getting Ready To Spawn Or Could There Be Something Bad Going On.

Reddening of the stomach only means she is becoming plump full of eggs. Its quiet possible that she is nearing a spawn.

thanks for the reply, I typed everything in caps and when i submitted the first letter in every word was caps.

a fish preparing to spawn should still have normal activity alertness levels

the change in behaviour should make you check your water for pH nitrates temp's etc
observe your fish more closely
lesions/ fin postion/ appetite/ feacal quality/ respiratory effort

rams have beeen suggested to suffer from a specific viral problem that has a very high morbidity

increased colouration and lack of activity can be associated with certain heavy metal toxicties, if you are not ale to check these then do a large water change from a known safe water source- perhaps store bought r/o (try not to change otherparameteres too fast)
