I thought I'd posted my intro but don't see it.. maybe too many forums.. Hey?
Well.. after a 25 year hiatus from the hobby, I bought my first tank 3 months ago.. kinda went hogwild in that I now host a 125L, 75, 30L, 3 29's and a 10. To shorten the story, I joined a local fish club and ended up winning a bid on a fish I had not a clue about. An apisto - agassizii... $5.00... Well.. he hung out in my community tank until I inherited 2 female aggassizii's.. fast forward 2 weeks, a friend came up from a 2.5 hr drive away to pick up 6 discus out of a batch of 12 I'd been growing out for 5 weeks. As a measure of good will, I reached into the Apisto/Ram tank and gave him a gift of a potted Amazon Sword.. (Very heavily planted tank).. well, he made the ride home, put the pot and another fish I gave him in a bare tank... and an hour later, discovered 10 fry... that we have now confirmed as apistos!.... So I now have a breeding pair of agassizii's.. !!!! Whoo Hoo... Oh.. on the day before I received in the mail a pair of double or triple reds.. what ever that means.. one of each gender.. Bill in Va.
