Hello all,

My name is Nat. I have been keeping aquariums for 8 years now, though with a period of a couple years where I kept only one tank passively. I had shied away from Apistogramma, thinking they were difficult to keep alive. After lurking on this forum for sometime I finally got the confidence to pick up what I believe are a pair of A. Borellii, described as the "Pantanal" variety. I don't know enough to say if that's what I received, below are some pictures (please forgive some blurriness, the female was particularly hard to photograph).

I'm excited to put the apparent knowledge base here to good use, and contribute what I can! Thanks for having me.

If it was listed as from the Pantanal, then it probably is. A. borellii forms tend to vary in color, but northern populations tend to show more yellow on the head, fins and body than populations from the more southern part of the range.
