I bought airline tickets today for a trip to Cameroon and Austria in February 2009. I was invited to go with Anton Lamboj, and figured I had better buy them now before I get cold feet. Nothin' like the term 'nonrefundable' for motivation.

Good for you! I've always wanted to go on a collecting trip and I hope it is a great experience. Will you be able to bring back any of the fish you capture?

Rasbora gerlachi? Ahl, 1928...? There are several cyprinids in West Afriaca, butthis is the only Rasbora species listed on FishBase. That site does not list occurances either, so nobody has published having seen it since it was described. If you can get a hold of hte original description maybe it will mention where in Cameroon the fish came from.
