Apistos in 20g long and 29g.

Hello everyone,

I am new to apistogrammas and I have two planted tanks (CO2 tank injected) waiting for some pairs. I know I like the cacuatoides like Triple Red and Agassizi, and many more.

I dont plan on putting any other fish in these tanks and will be solely for the apsitos. If I decide id like to try breeding, would i buy a harem? A single pair?

If you want a community tank only, buy 3 males (much showier). If you want to try breeding, then get trios.
