Apistogramma sp II 'Rio Jari'

I received these fish last year, a very kind traveling aquarist brought me some from Sweden, they are originally direct from Heiko blehers collections on the Rio Jari and although obviously A.agassizi 'Netz' im continuing the sp II name so we know they exact collection that these fish are from.
I had them growing on in a general tank and only moved them to their own quarters two weeks ago, the males been fairly shy and twitchy so when i caught them flirting i took my chance for a few pics. They have since spawned and eaten the eggs!!!! im really enjoying these..

This pair came directly from Kaj.P in Sweden, he came over to this years Bidka discus show and very kindly offered me two pairs of these fish..

They have just spawned again so fingers crossed for fry this time round!!

They resemble Apistogramma cf. agassizi "Tefe" to me.
This group provides a field day for the taxonomic lumpers vs splitters.
So reminiscent of the phenotype variations found among Discus, especially Symphysodon haraldi but also S. aqeuifasciata.
