Hi all,

I have WC Apistogramma cacatuoides from Leticia, CO. " Rio Yavari ". The female has some redness on her face, just wondering is this common for this location or should I be worried? She is eating fine and swimming around. I separated her from the male just incase she has something. Thank you

She is in her own talk for now. How can I treat? But I don't know what her issue is tho. She seems fine. She still eats and swims around

I usually don't treat unknown problems with medication. Good (live) food, top quality water, and quiet are what I typically use (that and hope and prayer). Let her own immune system do the work.

Ye I also didn't want to use medication as I don't know what the problem is. Il just fi wc everyday. As for live food. Would blackworms be good? I feed them live black worms once in a while. But I'm a little worried as it may cause bloat.

I don't recommend blackworms unless raised in an artificial, clean, controlled closed system. Most commercial blackworms are produced in outdoor, more natural - septic - systems. Poor or poorly cleaned blackworms have killed many apistos. Just do a search on the topic on the forum.
