Congradulations! A. nijsseni is not an easy apisto to reproduce. It will be 3 days before the eggs hatch, and another 4 days before the larvae swim free.

Thank you. Is possible to try catch in cup a larvae and give them in separate aquarium ?? Or is some chance that they will live in social aquarium ??

My pair of Apistogramma nijsenni raised three broods in my 40g community tank, filled with tetras and other fish. They only raised about half the original numbers, but I figured survivial of the fittest! I would let the parents do their natural thing and leave them there. If there is too much predation, remove some of the other fish from your tank temporarily, not the babies from their parents - that's half the fun of cichlids, seeing them raise their little ones.

Bad Luck.
They may have ate the eggs themselves if they are a new pair. It took my pair two or three attempts to raise a successful brood, they seem to need a couple of practises, but seeing the females shepherding her brood around the tank with the male doing guard duty is well worth the wait!
Just keep spoiling them some good food and I'm sure they'll spawn again soon, and probably lay more eggs too. You might want to add a cave too to give them a bit more security with the eggs, a small flowerpot or drip tray with a small hole in the side worked well for my pair.

I try to give the pair in separate tank. But tank is 50x20x25 cm of water what is only 25 liters of water. Is this tank size good for them. There is some plants (Valisneria, echinodorus, java moss) and tomorov a give there little cave. Whats your opinion??? Thanks

As they are already paired I would say that should be ok, but keep a close eye on them. In a small tank if they do quarrel you will need to remove the male quickly.

Is that the tank they spawned in the first time? If they spawned in another tank, I personally would leave them in that tank and let them have another go. You may well find that after this run through they are more successful next time in the community tank. If you think something else ate the spawn, move the predators to the other tank temporarily. I find not changing things when they're spawning is best.
If they keep losing the spawns after a few goes then you could always move them to their own tank.

No it is not the same tank. I give them to another tank. All is OK. Only quality of water are not same. I must low pH and hardess. In community tank is CO2 injection and peat in filter. Now I slowly change pH from 7,4 to 6,8 wit peat lixivium and use distilled water.

Fishes start eat and male occupation cave. I think all will be OK.
