Apisto breeders in Chicago

I'm planning to visit Chicago city for couple of days in January 2005. Could anybody recommend me places worth to visit from point of view of apistolover? Are there any LFS in in the city center? Thank you!

Hello there Olga, I am north of Chicago and i haven't seen to many Lfs that keep apistos. How ever if you are willing to drive 1 hr and half to MIlw. Wisconsin there are a couple of stores that do carry an occasional dwarf cichlid.

The only store that usually has a couple different kinds of dwarfs is Hoffers IN milwaukee although they are quite expensive. I just saw some gold cacatuodes, nannacara, and some aggies there, the price is usually 45 to 55 a pair.If you are willing to drive up then i could get there phone number for you so you could call a head to see whats in stock. I do have some juvi apistos if you are intrested , just drop me a line maybe we can trade some fish if you have any juvies availiable. I have red gold aggies and alenquers and double reds, double red cacatoos, trifaciatas, apache, and hogsloi. Hope this helps
