Don't know where to put this post, so I guess I'll put it in here!!
I've got a 10 gallon tank set up with some California Black Worms.
Haven't been maintaining the tank too much in the past few weeks, but everything seems OK.
Today, I checked it out, and I've got some weird stuff in there...
Well... I guess the title says it all!
Where can I get some new apistogramma species online in the USA?
I already know of most of the regular places, and have lots of species already here.
I'm looking for interesting species, stuff we don't see too often.
Even people with some species...
Finally, my pair of A. steindachneri have finally spawned after about 18 months of waiting!!
Seems to be about 75 eggs.
Hope everything goes well, and that I can save them!!
Wish me luck!!
I've just updated my "website" yesterday.
It's mostly a list of my tanks and fish, with some pictures of the fish...
I try to add more pictures as much as I can, and as the fish permit me to take good pics!!

Well.. guess the title says it all!!
How do you get them to spawn??
Here is the setup.
10g tank
Lots of java moss
floating plants
a few hiding places like flower pots and coconut shells
lots and lots of sand!!
pH is around 5.5, hardness is non existent
food : bbs, frozen bloodworms, daphnia...
Always hoped I would not need to ask questions in this section!!
Here goes...
Yesterday, at the end of the day, I had to scoop out 6 dead bodies from my tanks, and 1 more this morning.
1x male A. pertensis
4x juvenile A. macmasteri
1x female A. macmasteri
1x A. sp. Papagei
All fish...
Guess the title says it all!!
Where can we get them?
I've been browsing on some japanese sites, and they have really nice ones! Wish I could get my hands on some of those, but they don't seem to be available in America.
Anyone have any of the unheard of ones, or know where to get them...
Went for a small tour of the pet shops today.
I spotted some A. cacatuoides. The person there said they were wild, held in Florida before shipping.
Now the odd part. The male was spotted black on most of the body. Did not seem like a sickness of any kind, or bacteria. Did make him stand...
Well... here goes!!
I've got a trio of A. macmasteri rednecks, or had a trio!!
The male is dying of what seems to be old age. I've had him for close to two years, and he was nearly fully grown when I got him.
But before his old age kicked in, he had one heck of a time with the two...
Got some nice ones about a month back.
Can't really seem to identify them.
The female might have spawned in the past few days.
A much larger identical image is available upon request.

Guess the title says it all!! Looking for pairs/trios.
Always wanted some of these...
Can anyone help me?
I'm in Canada, but any options from the US is possible for me.
Thanks all,
David
I was wondering if a femalle P. roloffi could breed with a male P. pulcher?
Not that I want them to breed together, but they are in the same tank, and there is no Mr. roloffi around, nor is there a Mrs. pulcher in the tank.
Also, anyone have an extra male P. roloffi that they could part...
I got 4 of these Apistogramma a few months ago in an auction, and they were quite young. I thought they were all females!
Now, zoom forward to today.. I look in the tank, and notice at least one has a blue hue to the mouth!
Here are my questions :
Only the males have the blue mouth...
I've noticed this in my tanks, and in other peoples tanks a few times.
Males seem more fragile. I've got two Apistogramma species that the males have died, but the females seem to be in top shape! I've also noticed this in other peoples tanks, as most are looking for a single male for their...
I bought in an auction a few weeks back a pair of Pelvicachromis roloffi, or at least thats what was written on the bag. Didn't make a case of it, since they were stressed out, and therefore not much colors.
Now they have finally settled in some time ago, and I always had a doubt about them...
