No jewels, yet... I should have a something you want (not cristatus though) soon. Limbochromis and taeniatus Nigerian yellow on hand. Several Nanochromis coming with IDs pending(NOT parilus or transvestitus). Red cap moon tetra. And a highlight for me (I've never seen them before) Phenacogrammus aurantiacus Orange Form.

I have a few other things coming in as well. Full list will go up after I get the fish and confirm IDs.

So no orange form Congo tetras?

Those would be the Phenacogrammus aurantiacus “Blue eyed Congo tetra" but they are dropping like mad. They came in with burned fins and many were down right away. If any make it I'll be surprised. The rest of the order is doing very well though.

Linus, I think we are talking about 2 different tetras. There are a lot of tetras that come out of the Congo. I think you are referring to A. brichardi and the 4 or 5 species that come in under that name.

Some of the pics doing a google image search of P. aurantiacus look like Alestopetersius brichardi. So yes, maybe we're talking about different tetras (the joy of common names)

If you do a Google image search on them there are just a handful of pics of the real deal and then A LOT of pictures of other fish including brichardi.

I have a small group of P.aurantiacus 'lefini' - are these the same fish we're talking about? Turquoise, yellow and dark grey stripes. I'm hoping to get some more tomorrow if Pier still have them in stock.

Not my pic I'm afraid, just one that appeared in Amazonas and online. I do have some good ones of mine - here's the first one I found.
Pier Aquatics in Wigan (UK) is the place to go!

This is probably the wrong place to ask, but is there a specialist forum for characins? I'm a member of a couple of cichlid and catfish fora, but I keep some interesting characins too and would like to discuss them. Any links?
