Trifasciata fry

Acquired a pair of trifasciata about 4 weeks ago. The first spawn succumbed, I think, to a bristlenose plec getting into the cave. The homemade cave( Skiddaw slate!) was modified successfully and now the female is doing her best to keep approx 25 fry safe in the community tank which contains 8 harlequins, 15 cardinals, 2 panda corys , 2 bristlenose plecs and 3 embers. Plenty of cover but she's got her work cut out. Interestingly she still tolerates the male who ignores her and the fry. Fingers crossed.

Virtually zero chance that any fry will survive. But, great to experience all the same

Well it's now 15 days since fry were free-swimming and despite the pessimism above I reckon there's still 12 or so fry, although it's really difficult to count them. I guess if I can easily see them then so can their tank mates.
2 fry visible with female. I never realised there was so much algae in my tank
