Hello Folks,
New to the forum. I have a 200g tank that I am switching from a discus display to something more interesting. As the discus got older they became less active. I am set up for soft low pH water operation of a CO2 injected planted tank with trickle and UV filtration. LED lighting. Not looking to breed, just a display. I like the behavior of cichlids, but don't care for the monsters (Oscars, etc). Looking for suggestions on an apistogramma population (types, quantities, etc). Other tankmates are 30 or so Buenas Aires tetras, assorted cories, plecos and SAEs, about a dozen in all. Been in the hobby on & off over 40 years a lot of the time raising africans. I've done angels and the more common central and south american cichlids. Looking for something new and I've never done apistos.
Thanks,
Ray
