stocking level for a 55

hello all.i had originally planned to start with my 15 gallon and a pair of cacs but recently aquired an older 55 in need of tlc 8O :D .my question is how many and what male to female ratio would you guys recommend to stock a 55 with cacatuoides?thanks in advance for your replies :mrgreen:

In a 55gallon, There could be endless combos of ratio and how many, but My general rule is to keep it simple... The less males there are in the tank, I have found that the less "serious" sqwabbles there would be. I have had males that chase and fight as soon as the other is visible... but it does go to say that the better your tank is planted the more suitable it will be to hold more fish comfortably... So, in a 55, I would say at the very most 2 males and you would have enough breed-able space to hold 3-5 females. I personally would go with 1male 3 females. But that's my two cents...
