Steelblue

Been looking at some pictures of the 'steelblue' hybrid. All of the fish I've seen so far have a very obvious double gold/yellow eye ring.
Are there any true species of apisto that share this feature?

My fish also have been marked 'Steel blue' (see thread ), but look different. Since this is a form that has been made by man there are many different fenotypes.
Mine for instance lack the red markings in the facial area.

All the fish in that thread show the double eye ring though. I just wondered if:
a. It was diagnostic
b. If not, could it be used to point to the parentage of the hybrid
