Smallest Apistogramma Available to get?

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I just recently acquired what seems to be A. "Blue Steel" Or something like that, Its very small but I think it will get too big for me to breed in a 15gal tank. I'd like VERY MUCH to get a species that stays very small, pretty much the smallest one available to get.

Also, if anyone has any care sheets or advice to give on owning these guys, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

I use 15 gallon tanks (24"x12" footprint) for breeding many Apistogramma pairs. The key when using small tanks is to make sure you have a lot of structure in the tank (wood, plants, caves, tree leaves, etc.) so that the fish can get away from each other if need be. The decorations also help to break the line of sight in the tank so that the fish can be out but not always in view of each other. And if at all possible having some small pieces of floating PVC or other tube structure at the top of the tank gives a really threatened fish a good place to go and makes it easier to remove if need be.

Hi all,
Of those that are available widely (but not as widely as you would like) Apistogramma borelli is probably the easiest to keep in smaller tanks.
