Shipping Internationally

Hey, I recently made a mistake on Aquabid and forgot to click the "Ship to the USA only" button. So a guy from Norway wins the auction and wants me to ship him the fish. I'm not opposed to it, but can I legally ship fish to Norway from the USA via USPS without some kind of license, etc?
You advice/experience would be appreciated.

There is no rule preventing you from shipping non-native fish out of the USA. Any limitation will come from laws in Norway. You can ship USPS Global Express and the box will get there in about three - four days. The 'back door' method is to declare 'gift' and something ambiguous like 'aquarium ornaments'; but if they open the box an look they may not let the fish in. The safer method is to have the buyer figure out what paperwork is needed and send it to you... legal is better than sneaky.

Each country has their own importing laws as to what is permissable to bring into the country. cold weather countries (i.e. Norway, Canada, Sweeden, etc.) are usually a little less restrictive than others. I would contact the purchaser to inquire with the appropriae departments within his government to make sure that they can be shipped. The departments that would be involved would be taxation (for duties and the like) as well as natural resources, fish and game or strangely enough food inspection.
