I can only wish that my camera wasn't broken, and I was just in my fish room and my pair of Pelvicachromis T. Kienke are getting ready to spawn.
The were quite intent and didn't back down when I placed my mug up against the glass.
In full breeding colors the pair were circling each other, they would take turns nudging each others bellies, then quickly spin in circles again, breaking this all up with lip locks where both male and female would vibrate all over.
It is quite fascinating to watch.

This will be their first spawn.

Will keep you posted

Nice looking species you have there. One of these days I'm going to have to do some Pelvicachromis species, for now I am doing the Apistogramma thing. Good luck, I hope they spawn for ya!

Finally

They finally spawned, when doing water changes I noticed wigglers, I would have to estimate twenty-five, there was also three infertile eggs mixed with them that were starting to fungus, so I opted to pull them all, remove the eggs and will raise them myself.
It took long enough, almost five months from when I received them, compare them to my Pelv. T. Moliwe that spawned witin a week of me getting them. I have about sixty free swimming from that batch.
