I was wondering if any apisto people will be there (none of the lectures are on apistos or dwarf cichlids). It won't be worth the drive for me, if there aren't a few apistos or dwarf cichlids there. Since Ohio is hard water country I'm thinking it may be mostly rift lake african cichlids.

I was at the Ohio Cichlid Extravaganza last year, it's not that long of a haul for me. You are right the bulk of the cichlids are hard water types. Although there were also plenty of catfish, esp. cories & plecos.

Dwarf cichlids were very few, just a couple bags of A. cacatuoides. But several bags of the westie, Steantocranus tinanti; and several Germand Blue Rams.

Mark Denaro from Anubias Design was there as a vendor. He did bring a few Apistos, A. agassizii, and A. veijita, (if I remember correctly), as well as GBR for sale. I don't know if he is planning to be there this year.
