It's been a great week in the fishroom for some of the fish that don't spawn as often for me...

Dominant F1 male Taeniacara candidi:

And last but not least, 10 Pungu maclareni fry as well! (No new pictures yet)

Looking at the photos, I would guess B. operuclaris. B. operuclaris has a more club like body shape where the body tapers more sharply into a narrow caudal peduncle. B. cf. opercularis has a body that tapers more evenly into the caudal peduncle. I kind of look at them as either pre-70s shape baseball bat (B. cf. opercularis) compared with a modern, big head/narrow handle bat (B. operularis). I would guess that your fish are the Santarem/Rio Tapajos population, but I'm not absolutely positive.

Are those the Biotoecus sp. Tapajos that came in from Aqua Glaser? I had them, spawned them, then lost the breeding group. Just have the fry that are growing out.

No, my Biotoecus came from Atlantis about a year ago. They came in labled as B. opercularis
