Last week I bought 2 A. cacatuoides a male and a female, this weekend I am going to add 2 more females. Are the first 2 fish going to be likely to see them as intruders, or would they be welcome? Do I need to do anything special when I introduce the newbies?

As long as each female has their own cave and little bit of turf to call their own the aggression should be minimal. If it gets nasty, I alway rearrange the furniture on them. That breaks up the established territories and they are all starting from scratch. Good Luck, Cacs are quickly becoming one of my favs.

thanks Cichlids1,

It doesn't really look like either one has a territory yet, they just have the 38g tank to themselves, but, I will move the caves around, just to be sure and confuse them a little.

:)
