New A.cacatuoides tank

Hey!
Would it be possible to keep 3 A.cacatuoides and 8 Neon tetras in a planted 15 gallon tank? According to Aqadvisor the stocking percentage is 86% and the filter capacity is more than enough.

I'd say yes, shouldn't be a problem. While A. cacatuoides might be one of the larger Apisto species, a 15 gallon should be fine as many are bred in 10 gallons (IMO slightly too small, but very common). Tetras won't add much of anything in terms of bioload.

Putting the bio load aside, I be cautious. I currently have a trio in a 120 gallon and the two females are constantly at each others throats dispite their respective territory's being at opposing ends of their tank.

Following up, I read it as a pair originally. I wouldn't go with 3 cichlids in that tank. One of them will be destroyed eventually

I tend to agree with Drayden. Depending on how complex the aquarium decor is, a trio might be ok now, but when one of the females produces fry she will want a much larger brood territory - like most of the tank maybe?
