Hi, Im new here and this is my first post. I am not new to fish keeping but I am new to Apistos. Currently I have a 55g Discus tank and a 10g tank that is empty. Im planning on planting that tank and putting a breeding pair of Apistos im getting from a very nice lady I know. My question is will they be fine in there if I make some good hiding spots. Also I dont have an R/O and dont plan to get one anytime soon. Will they breed alright in tap water?

It all depends on the species that you plan to get. A 10 gallon tank with Florida's typically hard, alkaline water is fine for a pair of A. borellii, but a species like A. atahualpa will not breed in it & the pair will probably tear each other to pieces. We need more information, like the species & your water conditions.
