Ivanacara Behavior

Hi All,
I recently have gotten my hands on a trio of ivanacara adoketa. I know sexing them, especially at a small size can be rather difficult, but I was hoping someone might be able to give a little bit of insight on their behavior -

Two of them are always together within an inch or less of each other. They don't seem to be aggressive to one another nor do they seem to be impressing each other. The third is off by itself and doesn't seem to interact with the other two. I have a few guesses of what might be happening but was hoping someone with more experience could fill me in. Are they...

A) the solo fish is the dominant male and the other two either female or less dominant males
B) the pair is male/female and have paired off leaving the third to chill by itself
C) None of the above :)

Thanks all! If anyone has any tips on keeping them, it's greatly appreciated!
