I know most here probably won’t think anything of this, but my A. cacatuoides pair FINALLY bred! Here are a couple pics of the female with fry.
Now, as with most things, opinions seem to be split, with some removing fry, some removing male only, and some leaving them all together. I KNOW every fish is different regarding personal attitude and temperament, but what are the thoughts of some who have done each?
Also, watching the behavior is great! Female is aggressive toward most everything in tank (male and 9 black neons), and the male even seems to be helping run the tetras away. The tetras, by the way, don’t seem that intelligent. They remind me of that person in a narrow hallway that’s always in the way no matter how hard they try to move…
It’s also really fun to watch her move them.
