Issues with eye worms in bolivian ram population

So, I bought 3 bolivian rams and rn they are in a 40g long. I was hoping for all females but I got 2x males and 1x female, but I can fix that later.

The problem is that all local dealers sell rams with some sort of eye worm/nematode I've not been able to identify. It stays curled up in the cornea or inside the eye. It's white and always writhing, but stays in place. Apparently only my males have them (visibly).

I had the same problem with another handsome male, but he died due to other factors while quarantined. I did not see improvement in a 1 week course of garlic + panacur infused food treatment (regarding the dead ram).

I'm really unsure what to do since I find absolutely nothing about this parasitic infection online. I don't think it's Diplostomum because it pulsates in place rather than moving across the eye through the day.

Any help is deeply appreciated! I dont want to lose these guys!!

(it moves exactly like that, but smaller:

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
