now, the female is occupying the cave my male use to occupy and chasing away the tetras near it, but the funny thing is that when it chases the tetras, it will swim twars the males and shake its tail whenever i sees the male andthemale will flare head fcing down. if they are spawning, which stage issit? (just laid eggs/eggs are hatching/fries are already out)?

Spawning

Hello BaBiBuTa,

I don't know which fish you're asking about, but the behavior sounds like a female who is ready to spawn. She is defending a breeding territory and courting the males.

Feed them well and keep up the water changes, please. It sounds like you will have fry very soon!

Good luck!

All the best,

Randall Kohn
