Is it cf pertensis???
I bought this at my lfs, it was hard to distinguish from the 20 or so hippolytae there.
Now that it isnt stressed it looks nothing like a hippolytae

Yes, they look like A. cf. pertensis. Are there many LFS in Manaus?

Thanks for the ID Mike Wise.
Manaus has a lot of pet shops, many of which have fish. A few are dedicated solely to selling fish even.
Usually though they just have a rack or something. fortunately there is a good one located near my house where i have got about half of my apistos from for dirt cheap.
