Hello experts,
I finally got my P. taeniatus Moliwe. They seem to be happy in their 20 gallon long tank. However, I note that the male's Moliwe left pectoral fin has a white speck. Nothing else. He still swims with vigor and eats well.
It was 2mm by 3mm white dot, but it has gotten only slightly larger.
The female has eggs layed in the burrito cave.
I don't want to lose the male Moliwe.
Please - what do I do? Also, any remedy you suggest - would it affect the eggs or fry? (BTW - the adult fish more important than fry at this point)
Water quality is NH3=0; N02=0.00; N03=0.00; pH 7.0-7.2; GH =3; KH=3
Water 15% change 2 days ago. I use a mixture of PETCO water and distilled water.
Other dithering fish - 8 neon tetras, healthy - no white specks. 3 otos (introduced 1-2 weeks ago from petsmart) look healthy. 2 tiger snails left looks good/healthy (original was 4 but 2 died 2 weeks ago - I think they killed each other - one was atop the other on the shell).
I have had the Moliwes for two to two-half weeks.
Thanks
Lisa
