Hello all
I've just joined and delighted to be here, and really looking forward to picking your brains, i've kept fish for near on thirty years and have 27 aquariums, but only recently got into apistos, I now have apisto baenschi inka, macmasteri, agassissi, viejita and piauensis.. looking forward to seeing if I can breed these so any info on tank decor, conditioning these fish and acceptable conditions and tank mates is much appreciated.

Ok it seems there is noone willing to share advice on their expierences of keeping these species, or the conditions/setups for keeping these fish,as a new member i must say i'm a bit disappointed by this.. anyway must go and do more google searches, maybe i'll get the information i need there

I am sorry that no one has responded. My guess is that everyone thought someone else would (I did). Your questions can be easily answered by using the 'Search' function on this site or even 'Googling' the species in question. Better yet, there are many excellent books out there - both old and new - that go into some detail on apisto maintenance.

HI Seamus... sorry nobody replied right away. Several of us were at a convention all week and either did nto have access to a computer or did not have the time. It would also help us focus a bit if the questions appeared in the q&a forums. I have to admit that the first time I scanned though your introduction post I did not realize you were expecting a response.

As Ted mentioned, usually questions are in another part of the forum as well. I was expecting another post from you down in the Apisto section. Sorry.
