I have borelli opal fry in my 10g grow out tank for 5 months and they are only about 1/2" to 3/4". How long does it take for them to mature. Is this growth rate common.
What kind of tank feeding or maintenance do you do on your grow out tank? A 10 gallon tank is too small to grow out more than about 5 fish to full size unless you are doing water changes very often, maybe 2 or 3 times per day.
Yes, the bigger the tank, the better. This should speed up growth. I'd also suggest more frequent water changes. How many juveniles do you have? BTW, I've found that A. borellii are not the fastest growing apistos.
