I have a community tank with apisto's, discus, cardinals, and rummynose. I've been reading about feeding discus fresh ground garlic, Is this good or bad for my apistogrammas?

I have read reports that it helps reduce intestinal paracites. If your apistos eat it, it should be OK. What bad can it do to them? Give them bad breath?

I've also heard that it can be used as an appetite stimulant for animals when they go off their food, I'm sure the same principle would apply to fish.
